Keisha Castle-Hughes on balancing family life

She spends her time working in Los Angeles or living in Auckland with her husband Jonathan Morrison and eight-year-old daughter Felicity-Amore, but for 25-year-old Keisha Castle-Hughes the awkward transition between the two is less these days. In a paid for cover story on the pages of tabloid magazine Woman’s Day, Keisha says she tries to make it work. “Like any relationship, we go through highs and lows, but we’ve found our rhythm. It used to be that when we were back in each other’s space after so long apart, there was an awkward transition, but that’s become a lot easier.”
She says she won’t leave her daughter longer than five weeks, and jets back home, or flies little Felicity to the States when she can. Her husband Jonathan Morrison, an aspiring Hollywood screen writer, has not made the move to Los Angeles permanently. The couple lived in an apartment in Los Angeles, but Morrison returned to New Zealand. Felicity lives mainly with her father, Bradley Hull, in Ellerslie while Castle-Hughes follows her dreams.
